Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you book a call.
What is CASA d'ORIENTE Circle?
CASA d'ORIENTE Circle is a private mudarabah profit-sharing pool for investors in CASA d'ORIENTE, the first affordable luxury leather goods brand built around Muslim identity. Members participate in 20% of company net profit, proportional to their share of the pool.
What is a mudarabah?
A mudarabah is an Islamic profit-sharing partnership — one party contributes capital, the other contributes labour and management, and profit is shared by a pre-agreed ratio. It is genuine, risk-bearing participation, not a loan with fixed interest.
Is this equity? Do I own shares?
No. You do not own shares in CASA d'ORIENTE — you participate in a share of the company's profit. If a future equity round closes, you have the right to convert your principal and accrued profit into equity at that round's price.
Is this Sharia compliant?
Yes. CASA d'ORIENTE Circle is administered through an SPV with independent Sharia compliance certification. It is structured as a genuine profit-share, not a guaranteed return dressed up in Islamic terminology.
What is the minimum participation?
The minimum participation is €12,500 for first investors, reduced to €6,250 for friends and family helping close the round.
What is the total pool size?
The pool has a target size of €250,000 and can grow beyond that over time. New entrants join the same 20% profit share and dilute proportionally, so early investors earn more per euro participated.
What percentage of profit do members share?
CASA d'ORIENTE Circle receives 20% of the company's net profit, shared among all members proportional to their share of the pool.
How is my own profit share calculated?
Your profit share is your percentage of the total pool multiplied by the 20% of net profit the Circle receives as a whole. It's recalculated at each distribution based on the pool's composition at that time.
How long is the lock-up period?
Your participation is held for a minimum of two years from your investment date.
When can I withdraw?
Redemption windows open every six months starting at the end of Year 2. Each window is capped at approximately 20–25% of the total pool.
How do I request a withdrawal?
You can request a withdrawal directly from the CASA d'ORIENTE Circle platform once a redemption window is open. Your request is reviewed against that window's cap and processed accordingly.
Can I sell or transfer my participation?
Yes. Your position can be transferred or sold to another investor, similar to a bond, subject to the platform's process.
What happens if CASA d'ORIENTE raises an equity round?
You have the right to convert your principal and accrued profit into equity at the price of that round.
Can the company buy out the pool?
Yes — from Year 3 onwards, CASA d'ORIENTE has the right to retire the pool, buying out members' participation.
How are profit distributions paid?
Distributions are manual bank transfers to the account you provide — there is no automated payment processing behind them.
Is my return guaranteed?
No. This is genuine, risk-bearing profit-share participation, not a guaranteed return — that distinction is what makes it Sharia compliant.
Who can I contact for legal documents or questions?
Investor Relations is available directly through the platform once you're a member, or you can book a call before joining to ask anything in advance.
What do I get access to as a member?
The private CASA d'ORIENTE Circle platform — your capital and accrued profit tracked in real time, your mudarabah contract and account statements, quarterly company updates, and direct access to Investor Relations.
